A startup acceleration programme developed by the Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Centre, Fondazione CR Firenze, with Nana Bianca and Florence University’s Fondazione per la Ricerca e l’Innovazione.
The programme is designed to seek out innovative startups and SMEs involved in identifying digital solutions in the tourism, fashion and food industries. It focuses on support for innovative digital businesses and on opportunities for integration and synergy with local businesses on the basis of the open innovation concept. This 12-week acceleration pathway with a strong social and economic impact helps selected startups to grow through mentorship, training and networking in a high-level dedicated space in Florence.
In the three months of development the startups focus on perfecting their business models, on penetrating the marketplace relevant to their area of business and on the growth of their traction on the one hand, and on open innovation processes with local businesses on the other. Each startup is supported with a grant of up to €20,000.
The first call resulted in the selection of six startups which use products and services to offer new opportunities to businesses operating in the “tourism”, “fashion” and “food” industries.
